Decision: 2030 Olympics

Yesterday the UIAA announced that Ice Climbing will regrettably not be included in the upcoming 2030 Olympic games: https://www.theuiaa.org/statement-on-ice-climbing-and-the-olympic-winter-games-french-alps-2030/

This news comes as a big disappointment for so many members of our community, yet the strides this sport as a whole has taken over just this last handful of years have been undeniable. Disappointment notwithstanding, we can be proud to contribute to building the sport and one another during such a pivotal time - past, present, and future. Each one of you can take credit for that impact.
Along with USAIC, I'll look forward to a great 2026/27 season with just as much focus and commitment on our community.
